In case you live under a rock some place (and that is the only safe place to be right now!) we are expecting a hurricane 'round these here parts. Being about 60 miles inland, we don't have the trouble that people closer to the coast have, but we do need to prepare.
The kids and I have been out in the yard this morning securing some of the things that might become airborne and decide to be uninvited guests in our neighbor's living rooms. Well, they were helping until they found some frogs and toads hiding under some boards.
*sigh* At least, the toads will survive Ike.

I do hope Ike doesn't cause too much damage over there.
Be safe.
That's what we've been doing today, too. Brought it a TON of outside toys, and my mom brought over some bottled water and non-perishables. Right now I'm trying to get the laundry done in case the power goes out. Mark's been in Boston all week, and wasn't supposed to be home until tomorrow, but thankfully his boss sent him home early.
Stay safe! I am praying that no one is deeply effected by the weather!
Thanks, ladies. I'm sure we'll be fine.
Michelle - Missy was complaining that our yard looked so empty. : ) I tucked my potted plants in the back of the house under some huge tropical plants. I hope they stay there.
Hope you stay safe in the storm. I'll be thinking of you and yours.
